What is Touch Typing?
Touch typing is a techinque which trains your muscle memory so that you can type without looking at your keyboard.
Why Learn Touch Typing?
It increases your productivity. It let's you foucus on your work without thinking about typing.
Home Row
Your fingers will rest on the home row and after hitting any key it must return to it's home postion.
How to position your fingers on home row?
starting from left to right:
Left hand: pinky finger rests on key A, ring finger on S, middle finger on D, index finger on F.
Right hand: index finger on j, middle finger on k, ring finger on l, and pinky finger on ;
Note: Key F and J have bumps on them so that you can feel and place your index fingers on them without looking on the keyboard. In doing so your other fingers are automatically placed on their respective positions.
How to type?
Now that you have placed your fingers on the home row. each finger must press only it's assigned group of keys.

Let's see how to type the word 'jam'
- Place your fingers on the home row using the bumps on keys.
- press key k with your right hand index finger.
- press key a with your left hand pinky finger.
- press key m with your right hand index finger.
- bring back your right hand index finger to home postion j.
